  1. The Valkyrie’s Roar in Qatar: All eyes are on the season opener in Qatar next month. The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH has completed its final winter testing. It is the first high-revving V12 to compete for overall victory in decades, and fans are eager to see if its non-hybrid setup can keep pace with the Toyota and Ferrari hybrids over a full 10-hour stint.
  2. Genesis LMDh Development: Following the official announcement late last year, Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis has begun wind-tunnel testing for their 2027 entry. January reports suggest they are scouting top-tier talent from the current WEC paddock to lead their driver lineup for their debut next season.
  3. The 24 Hours of Daytona (IMSA) Kickoff: Happening later this month (Jan 24-25), the Rolex 24 at Daytona serves as the unofficial “prologue” for the WEC season. Watch for the performance of the updated Lamborghini SC63, which is looking for a reliability breakthrough before the global WEC tour begins.
