Antonelli Makes History with Fifth Straight Victory and Youngest-Ever Monaco Triumph

Monaco Grand Prix, Saturday, Richard Pardon

Kimi Antonelli continued his remarkable rise in Formula One by claiming victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, becoming the youngest driver ever to win the prestigious race and extending his winning streak to five consecutive Grands Prix. The 19-year-old Mercedes star delivered another composed and dominant performance on the streets of Monte Carlo, further strengthening his grip on the 2026 World Championship.

Starting from pole position, Antonelli controlled the race from the outset, showcasing the confidence and maturity that have made him the standout driver of the season. However, the race was far from straightforward. A late red flag caused by track damage and a crash involving Charles Leclerc erased his comfortable advantage and set up a tense standing restart with only a handful of laps remaining.

Despite the pressure, Antonelli held his nerve. He successfully defended his lead into the first corner after the restart and managed the closing laps with impressive composure, crossing the finish line ahead of Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton. Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar completed the podium in a race filled with drama and investigations.

The victory marks Antonelli’s fifth consecutive Grand Prix win, an extraordinary achievement for a driver still in the early stages of his Formula One career. His success in Monaco also adds another record to a growing list of milestones already broken during a sensational season.

“It’s been an incredible weekend and an incredible race,” Antonelli said after the race, praising the pace of his Mercedes and the team’s execution throughout the event.

With momentum firmly on his side and a substantial championship lead, Antonelli is rapidly establishing himself as Formula One’s newest superstar and a serious contender for the 2026 world title.
