McLarens ‘Lando Norris’ Keeps Head Down All The Way to Win Season Opener 2025 Australian Grand Prix

Date:

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix, held at Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit, marked a thrilling and unpredictable start to the Formula 1 season. McLaren’s Lando Norris clinched victory, narrowly edging out reigning champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing, with Mercedes’ George Russell completing the podium in third place.

The race was marred by challenging wet conditions, leading to multiple incidents. Notably, rookie Isack Hadjar’s crash during the formation lap caused a delayed start, and further accidents involved drivers such as Jack Doohan, Carlos Sainz Jr., Fernando Alonso, Liam Lawson, and Gabriel Bortoleto.

Ferrari faced strategic missteps, particularly with Lewis Hamilton, who finished tenth after a premature pit stop under safety car conditions. Hamilton expressed frustration over the team’s decisions during the race.
